Website traffic analytics

See your traffic as it arrives, then count your real visitors

Your analytics counts the bots that run its script as visitors, and never sees the rest. Your campaigns learn from those fake visitors, and so do your decisions. Klacos analyses traffic where it arrives, in front of your site: people, good bots, unwanted bots, and whatever is still unclassified. Then it measures your human audience without cookies. Your figures go back to describing real people.

The problem

What your analytics misses, and what that costs you

An analytics tool installed in your pages only counts visitors that run its script. Bots that never load it stay invisible, even though they eat into your pages and your server. Those that load it like a browser turn into visitors, conversions, sometimes ad audiences.

The bill turns up somewhere else: a campaign budget tuned on bots, an article that looks popular because a scraper read it, a conversion rate that climbs without a single extra customer. Our guide to bot traffic in your analytics explains where these fake visitors come from.

Why deal with it now? Because those figures already drive this week’s decisions: where the ad budget goes, which page gets redesigned, what content gets made next. As long as people and automation are mixed together in them, every optimisation can pull you in the wrong direction.

Today, in your analytics tool

  • visitors who run its script;
  • bots that run it too, counted as visitors;
  • conversions triggered by bots, counted as sales;
  • nothing of the bots that never load it, or of what it failed to measure.

With Klacos

  • the requests that reach your site, script or no script;
  • people, verified search engines, AI crawlers, impostors and unknown bots, each in its own category;
  • your human audience and your conversions, with bots taken out;
  • the share of your pages that analytics could not see.
Our approach

Start with all the traffic, then focus on the people

Traffic analysis starts from everything that reaches your site, day after day: your visitors, good bots, unwanted bots and whatever is still unclassified. It is the first step of the principle behind the whole service: observe first, decide next, enforce last.

Cookieless analytics then takes over for your human visitors: pages, sources, locations, devices and returning visitors, with a script under 2 KB that writes nothing to the browser. A visit recognised as automated drops out, even if it ran the script.

Traffic screen in the console: requests, page views, active visitors and the share of bots for the day, then a chart of requests per hour.

What counts for you

Conversions and campaigns that count people

Goals and funnels count what matters to you, a purchase, a sign-up, an enquiry, and show at which step visitors drop off. A bot filling in your form doesn’t make the cut.

The tag manager sends those same conversions to your ad platforms, server-side. It doesn’t fire for bots unless you decide otherwise for a given tag, so your campaigns learn from real customers.

Audience screen in the console: visitors, visits, page views, new visits, bounce rate, visit duration, engaged time and conversions, compared with the previous period.

For your teams

Your data in your tools, and the right access for everyone

Logs and exports take your data wherever you need it: access logs and metrics in standard formats, CSV exports, a read API, and your old logs imported to keep your history.

Sharing and teams give everyone the right access: roles for your colleagues, sign-in through your company directory, every change on record, and a read-only link for a client or a partner. If you look after your clients’ sites, the page for agencies and hosts brings together what you need.

Questions

Questions about analysing your traffic

Do I need a script in my pages?

Not for traffic analysis: Klacos does that in front of your site. The analytics script, under 2 KB, adds the detail of your human audience.

Do AI crawlers show up in the console?

Yes, in a category of their own, apart from your audience: you see how many requests they make and how many visitors they account for.

Do I need a consent banner?

The analytics stores nothing in the browser. The answer still depends on your use and on the rules that apply to you, so we will not give it on your behalf.

Can I keep my history?

Your old web server logs can be imported into the console, so you keep a record of past traffic.

Are today’s figures final?

No. They are marked provisional and settled the next day, once Klacos knows more about each visitor.

Find out what your analytics tool can’t see

With early access, Klacos starts by observing: you see your complete traffic, bots included, before you change anything. Request access, or tell us about your current analytics and what it over-counts.
